“Artificial Intelligence” sounds powerful—inevitable. But large language models aren’t intelligent. They’re branded as such to inflate corporate valuations, attract investment, and justify world-shaping influence.

The concept of intelligence itself is vague, colonial, and still undefined—even within AI. So why is it being weaponised? Because calling it “intelligence” sells. And while it sells, it's fuelling deadly extractive mining, inflating energy costs, and draining water supplies in the Global South.

This isn’t intelligence. It’s a lie with a price.
