Shield AI just unveiled their entry into AI piloted launch and recover drone fighter planes. X-BAT lifts off vertically from a mobile launch and recover vehicle and has 2000 mile range. Employing a range of sensors and electronic warfare equipment, the X-BAT is a multi-role platform. It carries air-to-air weapons to clear the skies like AIM-120 AMRAAM, or punch a hole in air defenses with AGM-154 JSOW.
