AI Engineers are among the most in-demand jobs in India — but how can you become an AI Engineer?
First of all, start strengthening your Math skills right from school, because Math is extremely important for AI Engineering.
In college, pursue a degree like BTech or BCA in fields such as AI or Computer Science.
However, you can still become an AI Engineer even without a degree.
But studying in a good college gives you a strong foundation and increases your job opportunities.
To get into AI Engineering, you need to learn at least one programming language, and Python is considered the best because it's heavily used in AI.
Once you understand Python and basic Math concepts, move on to learning the basics of AI and Machine Learning — and the best part is, there are many free courses available online.
You also need to learn a few essential AI tools and software, because they make building AI models much easier and faster.
After that, start building projects and showcase your work on platforms like GitHub or LinkedIn.
Also, participate in internships and hackathons — they give you real-world experience.
Finally, when you get hired as an AI Engineer, your starting salary could be around ₹9 LPA.
So this was Part 3 of my Career Guidance Series.
