China showcases AI prowess at supply chain expo amid US trade tensions

The event highlights China's push towards artificial intelligence as a means to upgrade its economy, even as it grapples with US trade restrictions on advanced semiconductors.
As Beijing positions itself as the linchpin of global supply chains, the expo serves as a platform for Chinese officials to assert that US trade pressures are driving innovation and competitiveness among Chinese firms. However, the future of global trade remains uncertain as relations between the world's two largest economies continue to be strained.
