???? Description
Presented in collaboration with Love That Design, this episode of AI Design Frontiers features Abdelaziz Awad, architectural designer and researcher at Studio Tim Fu, and MSc candidate in Architectural Computation at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
In “Architecture in the Age of Artificial Intelligence,” Abdelaziz explores how AI is transforming architecture from early design stages to construction and beyond. The lecture examines the integration of AI-driven tools in conceptual design, generative modeling, and building performance optimization.
By addressing machine learning, data-driven insights, and automation, the talk highlights how architects can create more adaptive, sustainable, and innovative spaces. It also opens a broader discussion on the evolving role of architects in a digital-first era, and the opportunities and challenges AI introduces in shaping the built environment.
???????? Speaker Bio
Abdelaziz Awad is an architectural designer and researcher at Studio Tim Fu, with a focus on computational design, artificial intelligence, and advanced building technologies. He is currently pursuing an MSc in Architectural Computation at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL.
He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Ajman University (UAE), where he also served as a part-time teaching assistant. Abdelaziz completed two internships at Dar Al Omran – Rasem Badran in Jordan, contributing to large-scale architectural projects and receiving a Best Intern certification.
His work bridges research and practice, exploring how AI and computation can inform new architectural methodologies and future-facing design processes.
